Do you actually think I was whining about the fact that we are given the quote feature so that we can pick what to quote and what not to quote? No, I like it. One does not whine about what one likes. But you did. In fact, you just did it again. The reply of mine to which you now reply had this bit that you deleted:

But before you start whining about whining again, I have NO PROBLEM with your deleting it. It wasn't relevant to the point you were making; just like what I deleted from Buttons wasn't relevant to the point I was making. I showed you how earlier, by requoting mine and Button's quote. But of course you deleted it.
You have the strongest itch to lecture others that I have encountered in some time. In this case, you need to lecture yourself if you believe deleting is stiggying. Or perhaps you can dust off an old "ye hypocrite" sermon and direct it toward yourself.
You're correct in that we frequently reply only to a single point in a post. What no one but Stiggy does is to alter the text such that the point is lost.
And yet obviously, as we can see from what I had typed (and which you deleted in your true stiggying fashion), what I deleted from Buttons' post was no more relevant to the point I was making than the stuff you decide to delete.
So what's the deal with this asinine shit you're trying to pull?. If I delete, it's stiggying, but if you do, it's not.
And just to pre-empt you a bit, I'm fully expecting this to be your next stiggy-style response: HYPERBOLE: You're correct in that we frequently reply only to a single point in a post.
