| What happened here? When I left it was semi-lame, but now it is truly lame. There seems to be nothing left but some stupid in-jokes, possibly by only one or two posters. When I first came here years ago, there was some substance, some thoughtful posters, some integrity. It's sad to see that it's all gone.

What happened to AARM?
The broke-assers are still boycotting AARM while hiding their drug-dealing spouses, alcoholism, various criminalities and internet affairs with each other and general-all-around-hatred- of- anyone- and- everyone- not- an- ignorant -Obama-hating redneck over on their secret board and Belvedere posts to himself here with his 85 thousand troll accounts.....
No big loss.

Yeah, this board has finally pretty much died.

If I tell you, I have to kill you.
Actually it involves anything of mutual consent, old Stand and Model inside joke.
And also stands for corn on the cob.
& is Belv insinuating that AARM people have a--how shall one say-- social inconvenience? If we are restricting the accusation just to hiram, I concur.

No, I'm still going to school.... I only need a math class to finish my AA in Psychology and a Microbiology class to finish the Nursing pre-reqs.... although I've been considering taking a sabbatical from Nursing to exclusively do Psych. I can always do a 1-year accelerated bridge to a BSRN after I finish the Psych degrree. But if I keep up with the nursing, I have to attend clinicals from 7 am till 4 pm every day, and how on earth can anyone work and do that? I can do 99% of Psych online, plus I can get all kinds of scholarships from being in PTK. OTOH, I can practice nursing the minute I pass the NCLEX boards and I need an MS to do Psych anything. (Florida only requires an MS, most other states a PhD.) But the Nursing school went crazy and requires a 3.9 GPA to get in (which is insane) and I only have a 3.83. Which they say they are going to change because they found out that maybe 5 people in the whole college have a 3.9, but they change their minds every 15 minutes.
IOW, they have put Nursing out of reach for just about everybody, including me, and I'm about over it now.

Sounds like nursing may still be within your reach, so keep on keeping on if you can and if that is what you still desire. You certainly wouldn't be the only person who's ever worked full time and gone to school...I assume you're working full time now? Government jobs tend to have good perks, so no sense in killing yourself over schoolwork as well. Maybe one class at a time will do ya?

Oh, I'm still going to school, just finishing the crap for an AA instead of AS in Nursing. And all of it can be done online instead of in clinical rounds.
I've worked 75 hours a week while going to college full time, and it isn't pretty. My schedule would be get up at 5 30, drive downtown, clinicals from 7 am till 3 pm, work from 3 30 till 11 pm, go home and do all the homework and stuff in the house, and get to bed at about 3 am or later. And get back up at 5 30. Hell, I would die. I'm just too old for that kind of schedule.
I can't do both majors, and if I have to choose one it's Psychology. Uh... actually I officially changed majors tonight, so it's already done.
I only have to finish an Algebra course and a Statistics course, and the AA is finished.
And then I have 2 more years of school. And a year and a half for the MS. Gah.
Ignore me... I'm just tired right now and not enough hours in the day to do all the crap I have to do... which is why I said screw it, and am staring at junk on the internet. Enough is enough for one day.

You should give up internet chat for now...which should be easy enough to do these days.

| Carol, I have "internet chatted" maybe 6 times in the last month, always because I had worked for hours without a break. I don't really think that's excessive. You try doing online chemistry for 3 solid hours, k? Last edited on Fri Feb 12th, 2010 05:38 pm by Merlin
