I'm glad to see people are having fun posting here again.  And, you are all certainly welcome to continue to do so.

I must, however, remind you why it got shut down in the first place.  This forum software is hosted by WowBB.

The terms of service for sites hosted by WowBB can be found here.

The important points are simple and straightfoward.  The following content is restricted.

  • Sites promoting or involved in illegal activity of any kind.
  • Sites that contain or transmit confidential or copyrighted content without the consent of the owner of such content.
  • Sites that contain or transmit any content that we judge to be abusive, obscene, pornographic, sexist, racist, defamatory, harassing, threatening or malicious.
  • Spam (bulk sending of unsolicited e-mails originating from our servers).

  •

If anyone observes any violations of this policies, please notify me and I will remove the post immediately.

    Other than that, have fun.

    John

And falsely identifying oneself as someone whom they are not. This sort of thing should not be allowed. I'm tired of people pretending to be me.

Er, are there any language restrictions? I just went off my rocker and cursed manonfire out, just as I would curse anyone out who speaks of cruelty and torture with approval. Should I go back and edit out the profanity?

Ok. I don't normally use profanity in my conversations, but I think I justified my reasoning in the post itself. Normally, if I were speaking with someone who told me that they approved of torture and cruelty, I would not have second thoughts about telling them to "eff off." I don't see why people who approve of the concept of hell should be exempt.

Who am I, you, or any one else's perogative to approve or disapprove of God's will. How dare you place yourself on par with God. I think you have lost your friggen mind!

Sorry, I call it like I see it. It doesn't matter to me if cruelty is attributed to Hitler, Mao, or YHWH. I absolutely do not approve of the ethics displayed by YHWH in many sections of the Bible. Do you?

Just out of curiousity, how long have you been playing a Christian before you showed your true stripes?

Well, I'm not sure about "playing a Christian." I was sincere in my desire to be a Christian and find the teachings of Christian faith to be true. But, I have had serious doubts mounting for a little over a year now.

and find the teachings of Christian faith to be true

You find the teachings of Christian faith to be true? How can this be true? I thought you have recently rejected God/Jesus/Holy Spirit, and the bible!:?

I meant that I wanted to find them to be true, but came to a different conclusion. I wasn't "playing" at anything.

Well, there is no truth greater than the truth that Jesus Christ died for your sins, and by His grace you may have eternal life. In your case, you have chosen to remove yourself from Him. IMO, you never had a strong spiritual foundation to begin with. I'm just calling it the way I see it. Your foolish pride won't allow you to feel God. You need to humble yourself before Him before it's too late.

manonfire: Yes you were and still are. No one turns on a dime in regard to their religious faith! I'm sure you would still be playing your stupid game if Sally-Anne and Calvins Clown didn't expose you.

manonfire: You have demonstrated that you can't be trusted. You have violated the trust that many "friends" placed in you, myself included. Nothing you have said or will say in the future can be taken literally and with confidence. I really feel sorry for you. There is not enough money in this world that would cause me to want to trade places with you.

Perhaps nothing I say should be taken literally, either. That would save the fundies a lot of grief....

I don't really mind a little pouting, actually. I've been known to have a temper tantrum from time to time.

Yes, at least if they don't stop after notice. We are not going to lose our license just because some idiot refuses to obey by the WowBB terms of service.
